I was bummed when I couldn't find my old pot roast recipe, and then I tried this one. I loved information technology! I didn't have 8 hours, so I cooked information technology on loftier for 2 hours and then 4 hours on low. I used Campbell'south Golden Mushroom soup plus a can of Campbell's Beefiness Consomme. (I ever similar lots of sauce) Yummy combination! Otherwise I cooked it just as the recipe called for. It was succulent!

Followed the recipe but added more carrots and potatos. Take the time to darken the meat as the recipe states. More visually appealing for a pot roast. I as well threw in some Old Bay seasoning, dry mustard and a couple of tablespoons of worchestire sauce. OK, a little more vino. Definately wait to put in the mini bello mushrooms in the last ten minutes.... much tastier. Also added a bit of corn starch with the flour. Not bad foundation but experiment a little with your own additions. My sister-in-police had seconds.... and that NEVER happens!

Merely made this for the first time yesterday and tin can't stop eating it, it'southward that good!!! Had to take a few ingredients out that I didn't like or couldn't take and information technology nevertheless came out dandy! The merely thing I found is that after 7hours of cooking on low I had to add some more than water to make gravy and to cover the roast then the meat could go tender enough to shred apart. 8hour cool time but And so WORTH Information technology!!! P.S. If you can get Angus beefiness. It came out way improve than the stores!
