Go Vegan Becouse Karma in Beef

…Or in the theory of "what goes around comes around?"

7def832682f6f5adf5f31b130af3ceb6Due to some unfortunate circumstances in my current life, the cosmic principle of karma (oft thought of every bit "what goes around comes effectually") has been on my listen. More than than ever, I detect myself constantly wondering whether or not I believe in karma, and asking my close friends if they believe in it.

The mere possibility that karma exists is very comforting to me, despite the fact that I'k still not sure if I'm a believer. Interestingly (and perchance hypocritically), I practise observe solace in the fact that ALL of my friends accept been giving me an absolute "Aye!" in response to the question that I've been posing to them for many months…

"Exercise YOU BELIEVE IN KARMA?"

WHAT EXACTLY IS THIS Thing WE Phone call "KARMA?"

Although karma is a fundamental concept in many religions with its origins in ancient India, it is most ordinarily recognized as a fundamental doctrine in Buddhism. Although the word "karma" means "action, give-and-take or deed," information technology also refers to the police force of moral causation where the intent and deportment of an private influence the futurity of that individual. In other words, good intent and good deed contribute to skillful karma and future happiness, while bad intent and bad deed contribute to bad karma and time to come suffering.

f5ad454b38869aa51472bbab6e698bb4Based upon what I've been reading, our karma affects much more than just the afterlife. Our actions and deeds also affect our happiness and misery in the "hither and now." The possibility that one might have the opportunity to spotter karma work her "magic" in this lifetime, in ways both skillful and bad, is quite highly-seasoned to me.

2e3de375f46a8afa3197ba836116a3ddSince I'm a vegan for upstanding as well equally health reasons, I can't help but wonder if being a vegan helps my karma (if it really does exist). Not simply do I abjure from eating and using animal products, but I'chiliad concerned nearly the environmental bug surrounding veganism as well.

steve_o_002A few years ago I read an article in the Seattle Pi on the issue of karma and veganism. It was near "Jackass" star Steve O who claimed that he became a vegan to improve his karma later on eating living things for and then long.

The article quoted Steve O as proverb…

"One time I did something particularly nasty – I tried to hurt someone's feelings with a text bulletin. I heard a voice in my right ear say 'Yous're going to accept to respond for that.' Later I came beyond a You lot Tube video where this Krishna consciousness guy in Bharat was talking about how it's difficult for Westerners to be saved because there's such niggling respect for life on the planet….

"This guy said, 'How can you wait to be saved if you eat meat?' I put that together with the voices I was hearing and I became afraid of having some kind of spiritual punishment."

I'chiliad chuckling right now while thinking nearly a "Jackass" star showing this level of depth, and becoming vegan to place his life on a better path. Ha ha. But any gets you there, correct? Go Steve O!

It'southward my belief that the concept of karma crosses the minds of most people who choose a vegan lifestyle for ethical reasons. For me, I believe that abstaining from meat consumption and utilize of beast products adds to my personal level of inner peace, at the very least. I know that my dedication to a vegan lifestyle allows me to rest much easier when my head hits the pillow each and every night. Does this mean that I believe in karma? I don't know.

UnknownWhat I practise notice is that the word "karma" seems to testify up in the names of many vegan businesses such as the "Expert Karma Cafe" in Red Bank, New Jersey, or the hot new vegan food truck in Hamilton, Ontario chosen KarmaChaMEALeon. So the pairing of karma with veganism does appear to present itself quite often.

The theory of karma is central to many religions and cultures throughout the globe, and the issues surrounding eating and exploiting animals seems to lie at the very heart of the affair. This can really get i thinking, tin can't it?

So, subsequently having read this little blog mail service, I'd love to know your thoughts…

Do you believe in karma?

And if you practice, my friends,  I hope y'all call back about your karma the next time you throw that live lobster into a big pot of scalding hot water, catch a fish for dinner, or stick your fork into that bloody steak on your dinner plate.

This post is dedicated to my adept friends, Sue and Debbie Thousand., who always requite me my favorite "answers" concerning the theory of karma. Cheers my friends!
